If I am short on steps, in the evening I jog in place in front of the TV. I just have to get those 10,000 in especially when I am so close.

I don't count my steps on the treadmill... I count those as a separate exercise...
Is there an advantage to doing so; I mean besides having your step count go up?

I'm at 10444. Do you guys eat back the adjustments? I've lost 60lbs eating around 1400/day, and the steps are adding quite a bit.

    I don't.
But when I have a day where I go over, like for an unexpected outing/special occasion that I didn't prepare for ahead of time by watching what I eat or doing extra exercise, I use the fact that I have been burning calories through Fit Bit to make me feel less guilty.
And since I don't eat any of them back, technically I have a whole weeks worth of extra calories so I am not really going over for the week, even if I go over for the day... so win/win!

I am in! I typically average about 7-8,000 steps a day without trying. I think pushing myself to have an extra walk will be great. 9/2/15: 11,219

I eat back about half of the adjustments. I leave the other half for user error and those days that I overeat.

I am in. I try to get at least 10k in a day. My average is usually 12k to 13k. I can manage about 3,000 steps just from doing stuff at home and then the rest comes from walking the dog. My minimum walk is 5km. As of 10pm, I am at 12,984 steps. I will probably get to 13k when I go up to bed. :)
