Macros don't add up

Hey I'm pretty new to all this and am cry excited about it but already came across one issue when logging food. Let's say I'm logging 1slice of cheese (figures completely made up) and it says in the nutritional table that it would have 15g of fat then I logg it and it says something like this has 60g of fat your daily goal is 46g - so the figures don't add up or am I something wrong?

The MFP Food Database is populated by MFP users and staff. The majority of items that are entered by MFP users are based on the Nutrition Facts label found on packages; however, a good amount of those items have been entered incorrectly by a user. Always verify that the nutritional information for a MFP Food Database item is correct before you add it to your Food Diary. If it is not, you can search for another item that has correct information, edit the incorrect item, or create your own personal food item.

Actually MFP is off slightly... and back in August they actually had a big enough difference they had to redo some formulas. The difference now is slight so things should add up and be within 5 to maybe 50 calories going to calories to macros... remember 4cal for carb & protein and 9cal for fat.
Beyond that Cybertone is totally right... a lot of the database information is wrong. Someone incorrectly entered the macro amounts, calorie amounts, or such. Sometimes it can be the fault of the actual food package - I forget what it was I had but somehow 20 calories were not accounted for in the packaging. I actually wrote the company an e-mail and commented on their page asking but I have never heard back.
Always check, double check, and if needed re-enter the information. Finally just because it says Food Verified doesn't mean it is correct either. However often food that has been verified by 5 or more people I have found to be accurate.0 -
Also remember all the numbers are estimates including your burned calories. I try to find a verified (green check) for more accurate estimate.0
