Maybe know the band--song, no clue.

I'll modify the clue a bit.

Don + Glenn + other guys / Home while travelling + western state = band / song

    Eagles/Hotel California

    Correct.

Did you see the lawsuit in the news too?

    Give us a new one.

I had not heard about the lawsuit but I’m googling it now.

I guess I’ll do another 3-way mashup (see spoiler for definition). I'll provide the 3 artists (in order) and you have to provide the 3 connecting songs.
    Definition:
    Mashup: MA` sh * up: (n)
The would-be song if two artists mashed their titles together
    Example:
Artist: George Gerswin and Elvis =
Song: I can't give you anything but LOVE Me tender
    1. Norah Jones
    2. Kris Kristofferson
    3. Janis Joplin

Been a while. I forgot how.
(Happenings-E) + old time measurement for 1/4 pint/ place to spend the night on the west coast
    Singer/song

I think the singer might be Vince Gill, but can't come up with a song.

I didn't remember Vince sang it, but I guess he did.
The Hiltons had one--or many, west end of Route 66

1/4 ping could be 1/2 cup.

    Is the song Hotel California?

Let me know the artist you were going for. I assume The Eagles?

    $20 president + type of bear / chunks of chicken + darkness = [artist/song]

Oh, I see now. I had to kind of guess and confirm with a search. I didn't know Lily Tomlin's character's name.

Jim Croce + Ernestine = Operator

The song isn't related to baseball but "boys of summer"

John Fogerty + Willey Mays = (the song I thought of right away)
