    One

I did not know that "one", had to look it up. The Three Dog Night song is good, but was never a U2 fan, I guess.

Three minus 2 is One. Correct. You're up.

Listening to an AT40 countdown from 1982. This is sort of a trivia type thing, some research may be needed.

    Peter Wolf + Jayne Mansfield = [band/song]

LOL. That took me a minute.

First, I looked at Steve Miller band songs and that didn't ring any bells. So, I looked on IMDB for Clint Eastwood movies.

    Space Cowboy / The Joker

Space Cowboy is correct. Good song. (Never saw the movie)

Pivoting from Steve Miller to Boz Scaggs. Scaggs met Miller at age 12 in school and Miller helped him learn guitar.

Some historical NBA player knowledge helps here. I'm sure a search or just a guess would also work.

Boz Scaggs + former Boston Celtic player = [song]

I've no NBA player knowledge. I did, in fact, guess and search. Thinking of Boz Scaggs hits, Jojo seemed to be the logical answer. So, from there, I searched.

    Jojo White.

That has to be Surrender, but I don't know the song.

I have some gaps in my playlists.

Oh man, how can you not know Surrender?
That's one of my "driving in the car and it comes on the radio I HAVE to crank it up" songs. Give it a listen. I prefer the original album version over the live version. I think their album Heaven Tonight ROCKS.

    You're up.

I put my car on random a few days ago and it chose a song off the 16GB USB stick. It happened to be Bryan Adams. I've been on a Bryan Adams binge since then.

Bryan Adams + Ginsu = [song]

    Cuts Like A Knife

That's the first song I ever heard from Bryan Adams and it made me a Bryan Adam's fan. Actually, I saw the MTV video of the song in the empty swimming pool. I bought the album. Every song was great! It was always on my turntable. When his follow up, Reckless, came out, I bought that, too. I thought it was just as good. I saw him in concert. Started losing interest in his music with songs like "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", "Please Forgive Me", "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?".

Little River Band + Styx = (different song, same title)
  • deckerp
    deckerp Posts: 4,436 Member
    Lady.

Styx + KC and the Sunshine Band = [different song same title]

The way I hears Casey Kasem tell the story; KC renamed their song of the same name to something else because the Styx song was already climbing the charts and released at the same time. So, this may not be a fair one.

    Here is a hint.

The song name I am looking for is sometimes used in reference to an infant or a good-looking girl.
