I thought I put this out there earlier, but must have been interrupted.

    In honor of a singer/song writer's birthday on 9/7.

Head Cricket + Mr. Carly Simon / Sun + Mon + Tue + Wed + Thu + Fri + Sat = [two artists / same song]

4-way mash-up (see spoiler for definition). I'll provide the 4 artists (in order) and you have to provide the 4 connecting songs.
    Definition:
    Mashup: MA` sh * up: (n)
The would-be song if two artists mashed their titles together
    Example:
Artist: George Gerswin and Elvis =
Song: I can't give you anything but LOVE Me tender

    1. Pink Floyd
    2. Whitesnake
    3. Bob Seger
    4. Bette Midler

    #3 and #4 are correct.
Clue for #2 - the last word from #2 is part of the first word for #3
Clue for #1 - What you might write on a postcard...

    or

Man of steel - man + Disney dog movie - lady / Frequent precipitation = [band/song]

For some reason I always think of this band as Australian, but they're English.

    Supertramp it is.

Rain is in the title. Something you might say when you look out the window in the morning and you see rain for the third day in a row.
