Oh, oops, didn't see your post0 -
I was helped by being a fan of The Raspberries. Their Best of is worth having.
Speaking of berries.
Shortened berries / satirical labour anthem = band / song0 -
Total guess.
Chuck Berry -- School Day (Ring Ring Goes The Bell)0 -
Nope. Think organized labour.
Further hints. Rick Wakeman played keyboards with the band for 2 albums, and 2 other members left to form The Monks. Anyone remember 'Drugs In My Pocket'?0 -
-
The 2 members who left were Hudson & Ford. Does that help at all?

I had the band right away but had to check on the song.
S.O.S. Band -- Take Your Time (Do It Right)
Odd as it may seem I do have this in my collection. I like disco, what can I say.0 -
Nothing wrong with disco, Steve Dahl be damned0

Me, too!
I was at work on break when I saw Billy's confirmation, so I quick got on Pandora and that was the song playing on my '80s station.
You're up, Pat

Sticking with the disco theme. Something from The Martian soundtrack.
Vickie Sue Robinson + Gloria Estefan = [song]
If you haven't heard the Estefan version you should listen to it. It's so close to the original the biggest difference is the recording quality since it was done 18 years later. Wikipedia also shows a Laura Branigan version. I'll have to find that.0 -
Turn the beat around
It's cool, because the later (Estefan's) is more of a tribute than a version..its almost a beat for beat match

You are so right. I think it's like a tribute too.0

Okay, this one is easy (yea, I've said that before) so I went out of my way to add some complexity
