Exercise calorie miscalculation

Hi,
I have a question about the amount of calories burnt for each exercise.
Reason I'm asking is today I did a yoga workout through the Fitstar app and for a half hour workout said I burnt 180 calories which syncs straight to myfitnesspal. Afterwards I went for a run/walk and recorded it through runkeeper which said I burnt 160 calories.
I know that I would of burnt a lot more doing the run than yoga so was quite surprised that it said the yoga burnt more. Out of curiosity I checked how many calories the yoga in myfitnesspal said I would of burnt for the same amount of time and it was a hundred calories less.
I'm thinking of emailing Fitstar and asking if they take height and weight and age into account for the calories burnt or if each routine is just set the same.
In the meantime though does anyone have any recommendations on how to correctly calculate exercise calories? Should I just use the yoga default on myfitnesspal?
I also have the charge hr Fitbit but not sure if that can provide accurate calorie burnt readings by itself.

Your Fitbit burn is TDEE (total daily energy expenditure), the calories necessary to maintain your current weight. If (and only if) you enable negative calorie adjustments in your diary settings, your adjusted goal is TDEE minus deficit.
Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
Set your goal to .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided
Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
In the MFP app, go to More (Menu) > Steps and choose Fitbit.
Ignore your Fitbit calorie goal and follow MFP's, eating back your adjustments. No need to log any step-based activity—your Fitbit is tracking it for you. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in Fitbit or in MFP—never both. Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time.
