My October total ended up being a little less than my Fitbit badge which ran 9/29-10/27... Guess I had some big walks those last days of September! Anyway, I'm happy with the results: 231.8 miles for the month of October. Like I've said before I probably get about half of those miles just being a mom, being a sub in special ed, playing PE with the kids, walking the perimeter of the playground area at recess, walking dogs with my neighbor, etc. The other half of my miles are more conventional workouts: hills, hikes, track laps, stadium stairs, beach strolls, walking tours, etc. Walking 100k steps a week is the best thing that ever happened to me. And I love having this group to check in with. I hope we share a lot more fabulous walking photos in November! xoxoL

    Awesome job to everyone!

Just a little housekeeping to add my hiking on 10/30: Ended up doing 10.6 miles. My recorded miles for October ended up at 116 miles. I didn't set a goal ahead of time but halfway through the month, I started thinking that 125 miles seemed doable...so I came up a bit short of that. Still very happy with the results.

I am so bummed. It's just simply getting too cold here to walk. Ugh. And it gets really dark around 4:30 pm. I think it's time to start using the elliptical. Sad face.
