    1. my purse (because I usually have my wallet, keys, phone and ipad in there.)
    2. my laptop
    3. a box full of old family photos that can't be replaced.

When I was thinking about this, I was kind of shocked at how much of my stuff really could be replaced. I don't have just a bunch of stuff that I'd be devastated about...weird.

The first time I heard this scenario was in a movie. A few weeks later (living alone), faced with a similar scenario and was so flustered that I didn't know what to grab.

Practical answer: pet if I had one, mobile phone, wallet
    Impractical: most sentimental posession

I have this monitor thing called a cintiq. It weighs, like, 75-80 pounds. I'd grab that. It probably counts as 3 things anyway. It feels silly to take something totally replaceable, but I worked hard to get it. Plus, besides my dog, all my other stuff is replaceable too, but way less expensive.

my purse (my mastercard is in it), computer, and ipad.
  • My box of Playbills, my laptop, and um.... I dunno. I'm looking around my room and trying to figure out what else is really important to me. Truthfully, my computer isn't even that important, it would just be inconvenient to lose it. I am pretty emotionally attached to my Playbill collection, though. But as long as my cat is safe...

1: External harddrive (it contains ALL of the photos in the house plus some, ALL financials, documents... you get the picture)
    2: Wallet (Credit cards, ect)
3: iPhone (I need to call some people to get my spare car keys now.)

    1. Laptop bag (has my laptop and external HD)
    2. Document keeper
    3. Wallet & keys (always lumped together)

My iPhone is always by my side or in one of my pockets, so when I run out chances are it's with me.

Assuming kids, wife and pets are safe I don't care. But if I had time...

iMac with drives (all financial and such are on there)
Lock Box (though it is fire proof)
    Car keys for the vehicals.

My fireproof safe holds my guns, passport, wife's jewelry, pictures, important documents, etc. So I guess I'd put on some clothes and grab my wallet/keys as I shove my wife out the door in front of me.
