Tapeworms always have two hosts - one that their young live in, and one the adults live in. It's eating animals infected with the young that can lead to intestinal parasites (the adult form of the parasite) in humans. I believe the chicken tapeworm only infects chickens as their adult host, not their larval one, so their muscles wouldn't carry tapeworm larva (those are expelled in the feces).
On the other hand, salmonella and campylobacter are much more likely.
Because salmonella is totally a breeze. WTF is this thread I don't even
Yup. I think I'd take the tapeworm, actually.
Salmonella can't be worse than some of the hangovers I had when I was not studying science in college.0 -

True!
( a coworker got parasites from her puppy. She somehow came in direct contact with puppy fecal to her mouth. Likely she picked up poop and didn't wash her hands ) she didn't know she got parasites for months. She thought she had a vagina issue , because she was bloated and itchy on her butt and vag area . she went to gyn and everything was fine, they told her she was just fine! But every night she couldn't sleep because of the itching. Finally she pooped worms. She went to the emergency room and they treated her with a strong antibiotic. She now tells this story to everyone getting a puppy ! Hand washing is super important!!0 -
oh and by the way - worms won't show up in your stool test just yet - if you go to doctor tomorrow morning and do poop test it won't show up - like all the other symptoms I described above - which shouldn't freak you out BTW - they're not that bad, it takes a while for the worms to kick in.
SOOOOO - back to the most logical and effective treatment - TAKE WORM TABLETS FROM THE CHEMIST TOMORROW MORNING.
If you don't have worms (which is the extremely likely scenario) the tablets will not affect you in any adverse ways.

This is true LOL.
It will take more than a few hours for that to happen though - you will have to be crawling with worms before itchy but kicks in.
Another symptom is drooling a lot in your sleep
And eating like a ravenous beast but not feeling full
And all of the above take more than a few hours to kick in - like we're talking a good week or more until the worms procreate and grow inside you.
everything ur describing is making me want to kill myself
Wait. You had best be trolling with that remark. Because that is not cool or funny AT ALL. Actually even if you aren't trolling, it's time to log off the internet and get some serious help.
that's concern trolling, she was obviously kidding. that post freaked ME out.0 -

but this is the thing you don't seem to be getting (or reading) - the alien worms in your gut are EASILY TREATED with a tablet.
I've even had AMOEBA FFS and got it treated with a tablet. and GIARDIA.
You name the worm - I've had it.
And I'm fine!!! Truly! I am!0 -

nope i would rather have bacteria that leave my intestines after 3 days than creepy alien worms that can take years to rid myself of
That's not how it works. Salmonella is a lot worse than that and tapeworms are very easy to get rid of. But you don't have one.0 -

I lied. I'll comment again. You act indignant that I told you to STFU and go see a doctor, but you can tell someone to GTFO? Bye Felicia.0 -
