Hello everyone some will remember me some will not. I have been active on the forums a bit more lately I have received some great advise and am really reassesing my goals. I think many of you are correct I can't lose 2 lbs a week I actually knew this. I also know the most I can lose eating 1200 is 1.6 pounds. For me 1200 isn't hard just boring. I love cheese and cheese sauces and noodles and potatoes they are like a drug to me oh a plate of lasagna and a loaf of Italian bread and butter yum yum. And so I chose to stay away from those things. That leaves me meat and veggies oh and bacon and eggs I'm ok with that but well Im not sure I lose my appetite on low carb because of the plan or that how many eggs can a person eat! Well I'm off track I was actually posting this to ask all my former admirers to please leave the past in the past. Bringing up ED's puts me on edge and makes me very defensive and that brings me to proving the world wrong and that brings me to feeling like F U. And that brings me to thinking maybe I should skip a meal or 2 which now brings me to making a phone call that tells me I'm stupid and I listen because I know Guys I know. I have been told regarding the exercise calories not to worry just be sure to eat close to 1200. I am doing that. I am not out exercising like a crazy person. I really only walk the dog around the block So please understand your good intentions ignite my fire and someday I may not pick up the phone and get talked out of going back to a very long crazy path of destruction. There are many on here that truly care and a really appreciate their advise Rabitjt you really have made my reconsider my goals perhaps body composition is the key. Lifting starts Monday! Slow and steady Well that's all. Keep on working to a healthier tomorrow.

So you're turning over a new leaf and won't be under eating anymore?

Well I'm glad you have re-thought your previous plan.

Take each day as it comes...be consistent, reach your calorie goals and don't expect to lose every week.

I'd like to suggest you incorporate some de-stressing practices into everyday life too. Maybe meditation, yoga, mindfulness.....

    Wish you all the best.

Smart people follow @rabbitjt to the weight rack, and walk away a little stronger week by week. Good to see you @tincanonastring without the bars blocking the view of that magnificent facial hair.

What is missing from your diary? It currently shows a net of 1020.

OK. After your fix, you've netted 1101 calories. Where is the overage?

you have a fairly good trend over the last few days. But only two sandwiches for today. You were doing good adding in your extra calories with a couple of oreos or a salad here and there - don't forget to keep that up.

And for the record I'm over today.

While it's true that you are over 1200 calories gross, due to your fitbit adjustment of 474 calories, you have not yet netted 1200 calories.

Hey right now I am happy eating 1200 as I mentioned in my original post. The Fitbit is going away bunch of hooey. I literally did nothing today no actual walks or anything. I'm going back to logging exercise as exercise if I go for a walk I will log it if I walk to the bathroom I will not. Hockey yes doing laundry no. That stuff is just life. So please let's just all stay positive I'm not perfect as some of you like to continue to point out.

Why do you think the FitBit is unreliable? Because it is telling you that you should be eating more, just like the rest of the folks on here who want you to succeed in a healthy way?

Eating 1200 and netting 400 less than that is a VLCD. I really thought you were serious about taking the suggestions and advice you had been given OP, but it doesn't seem like you are.

And I think I pretty much stated it all in my original post hey if I did not own a Fitbit then getting extra calories to eat for walking to the fridge for a snack would not even be a thing. So as I said also in my original post I will not allow you to put me on the defensive I will not allow you to ruin my plans for a healthier way of life. Thanks

OP if the comments here, mine included, make you feel defensive, then I really don't think MFP and these boards are a healthy thing for you. Please continue talking to your therapist.

If this is a triggering place for you then you need to stop coming here rather than thinking you're going to be able to make everyone understand you.

So you want to continue with slippery slope destructive behaviors, but don't want people to point out that it could lead back to an eating disorder?

I think I just asked that people respect and not judge all the time. It is truely crazy that I barely posted this and people had to chime in oh you did this and you didn't do that. Well hey I'm not perfect never claimed to be pretty much said I'm not but I'm trying. I guess that is not good enough for you. Sorry
For all those that have truely made me see where I need to go Thank you!
to those that like to condemn it must be very tiring to be right all the time and very boring to do everything right all the time.
Think I would rather be me than you
And please there is really no reason for you to comment if you can't read the original post and respect what I said. So yah good for you hope it makes you feel like a big person constantly putting someone else down.

I appreciate the thought ...sorry this thread has gone south again

But if you don't want to trust your fitbit, and that's up to you, you need to change your basic activity level

Your fitbit is basically telling you that your activity level of sedentary is wrong, that your activity level should be active

It's right. You are a busy mom, you are no way sedentary

I love my fitbit and eat every calorie even from just walking to the bathroom, because my body's done that and used up energy doing it

I am set to sedentary but that's fine because I trust my fitbit to adjust ...if I earn back 400 calories over sedentary it is because I've moved about 10000 steps and that takes energy = calories

45 mins in the gym earns me around 300 calories

10000 steps, not even purposeful, just hitting the shops cos we are out of milk then taking the dog round the park earns me 400 easily ... Cos fitbit

No fitbit ...then activity =/= sedentary

Well I guess. Monday I will take a closer look at that. Some days I am far from active. I'm not letting anyone get to me anymore starting today I am just going
to just shak my head and wonder why? What makes a person pretty much do exactly what you just asked them not to do? Why is their urge to give their opinion so strong? Whatever you can't bring me down not anymore and I know I post here so ask for it right? Wrong. Personally I believe if you have nothing nice to say than say nothing So good morning have a great day stay healthy and eat every last one of your calories.

It's the internet; I'm always right, everyone else is always wrong. People rarely give opinions that they feel are wrong, so everyone really does think they are trying to be helpful. You've already had one thread go south, and you're probably reading things as harsher than people are meaning.

It's great that you are making progress, but I do agree with rabbit that you are probably slightly active as evidenced by your fitbit. In fact, if you changed your activity level, my guess is that you wouldn't get many adjustment calories anymore.
