I am thinking of trying this for a month, i would like to see about 4lb a week loss though which i'm happy to do the excercise for if it's just a case of dong more exercise?
As a very rough rule of thumb, the absolute maximum you can reasonably burn is around 1% of your body weight per week. Beyond that, even if you lose weight, you lose way too much lean mass, not fat mass. So if you wanted to lose 4 lb/week, you'd need to be over 400 lb. That's not even this site in particular, there's a biological limit to how fast your body can breakdown fat.
