Guessing at calories

Ate out today and am having a hard time figuring out the calories. I've guesstimated how many calories each item had (using this app) and claimed the calories for a whole portion but only ate half. What do you do?

Pretty much that...unless the restaurant has published nutrition info.

If you only ate half, change the portion amount/serving amount when you add it to your daily...(that's what I do...

I think he means that he put a whole portion as a safety measure because he was just guessing the calories. That way he's covered in case his guess was an underestimation of the actual calorie count. It's a pretty common technique many of us use when eating out -- restaurants find ways to pack in extra calories that are hard to determine sometimes.
