I feel like doing something different today, plus it's something funny to watch while I work out. Does anyone know what we're the good aerobic work outs to do in the 80s.
I actually even have a pair of leg Warmers.
Thanks for your help

Jane Fonda and Kathy Smith were the big VHS aerobics trainers, right? I went on a DVD buying binge a couple of months ago on Amazon and I know their older stuff is also available in DVD.0

Jazzercize. No really. My mom had the ALBUM on VINYL. And the lady on the cover was wearing leg warmers.
It's still around! http://www.jazzercise.com/0 -

There are still Jazzercize studios. My sister in-law goes once a week.0 -

The original buns of steel tapes were good.0

Sounds like a fun idea. My first thought was Jane Fonda, and I see another poster suggested her. I'll add Richard Simmons to the mix. He used to have shows on tv when I was a kid (early 80's). There were a lot of people crammed into his studio, so it would probably be pretty entertaining to watch while working out.0

I wish gym's would do this. It would be so fun.
Jane Fonda's workout--celebrity endorsed!
Jazzercise--no jazz hands, I swear.
Richard Simmons--kinda celebrity endorsed but the shorts, you'll burn more cals laughing at those & the 'fro.
Buns of Steel--it's like getting titanium butt implants!
Reebok Step Aerobics--just fun and a little bit dangerous, but mostly fun.
Aerobicize-- totally pornal! Remember this one? http://www.aerobicise.com/ , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlksFQQcrIU0 -
Hands down Richard Simmons. Find Sweatin' to the Oldies, and you can go double-retro!0

Oh *kitten* I am totally gonna do this? But are they fun spiced up new versions or will I actually feel like I'm in some low budget time warp situation?
ETA: Okay, hyper coffee moment over. I changed my mind....

Everything old is new again.
I do step aerobics twice a week and I still have some Jazzercise classes left that I bought via Groupon. It's still a popular workout.0 -
I had Alyssa Milano's workout video from back in the day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz382O3Mgd0 Teen Steam!0

If I could find a class like this though, outdoors, and overlooking the ocean, in cali, I'd be all over that!

Cher did a fun 80's step video called "A New Attitude" ....(fishnets ..... doesn't everyone exercise in fishnets).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5Bj4iH6eWU
Gilad Step videos are totally 80's
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-2DWoSlbag
Joanie Greggains had several tapes in the 80's
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGPMSbuS1PQ
For the choreographically challenged look for Leslie Sansone's Miracle Mile or Deluxe Walk Aerobics-2 Mile Walk .... these are actually very simple choreography .... totally 80's (big hair and all)0 -
Glad I missed the teen steam video. And, I so remember the 20 minute workout. I love Richard Simmons seating to the oldies.0

Definitely Richard Simmons. He's the first one who came to my mind when I read this thread. You can even still take live classes from him in LA at his Slimmons studio. I've never been there, but it's a total throwback from what I've read.0
