Anyone doing low carb, I really need to do that at least until Thanksgiving, or maybe I should just count calories. Not interested in weighing myself anytime soon, would just like to know that I'm doing the right thing, and losing some weight.

Why are you only doing it until Thanksgiving?
To lose weight count calories to help make sure you are in a calorie deficit. Some people find low carb is the more helpful way to help maintain their calorie deficit. Invest in a food scale ( you can get a decent one off of Amazon for $10-15) to help count your calories.
