makes sense....lol. in my early days I was very "anal" about my calorie counting, weighing out even my half and half for my coffee.....lol (yes there is an entry in MFP for the grams weight of "half and half" lol I was shocked) but now, since I've been doing it now 3 years.....I can kind of "eye ball it" per se......lol to get a good idea of what I'm eating.....I log my breakfast, and that's about it......but my breakfast is my biggest meal of the day0 -
I stopped counting calories and started just make sure I have normal sized portions and just eat healthy foods. It's easier for me and works before for long term for myself.0

I have never counted calories. Since changing the foods I eat many years ago, I have never found a need to.0

I was kicked off lowcarbfriends.com about 10 years ago for balking at claims from the poster who went on to create this scam.

I only count calories occasionally. If I don't learn to self-moderate by other means, I will die trying.0 -

Ahaha. Is this how you earned your moniker? Well done.0 -
I meal prep, so I basically log one day to make sure I am in my range, and then tweak when necessary. Its been working for me so far0

I follow a primal diet, but log my foods. If I'm truly eating primal, then I don't obsess about calories because I don't want to lose out on nutrients my body is telling me I need. I do find it helpful to track, however, because sometimes we don't realize how a tablespoon of dried blueberries or a banana can add to the carb count. Or even what taking a bit of non primal foods can do to your bottom line (macros).0

Well, I *do* count calories/log my food and exercise, but not on MFP. I'm on here for the community/support and reading up on all the forums and stuff, getting recipes and the like. I don't really have anyone irl supporting me so it's nice to have somewhere where people encourage you and give you good advice on reaching your goals.0

I stopped counting recently and I feel a lot less stressed about eating. I just eat normal portions. I'm even losing weight! I do keep a food journal and record how I feel after each meal to see if there are any triggers or any foods that affect me positively.0

I lost 80 lbs so far and would like to use the last 20 to learn to eat intuitively
I do not even think that I could go the rest of my life weighing and logging every bite of food I eat, so it's important for me to learn to eat now, while I finish losing my weight.
When I began all this, I'd never have guessed that I would have this issue, lol.
I'm certain that I can learn to eat without needing a scale or a computer. It's a little work on my part, but I'll get there.
This is what I want to do actually. Because now that I'm so close to my goal tracking kind of scares me; it's not practical. I want to eat better so I don't have to worry anymore. I only have roughly 10 pounds to go myself.

This is awesome. I am hoping it works for me0 -
I don't count calories anymore, been intuitive eating for a few weeks now. It's nice not to have numbers on my mind 24/7 and thinking about when I would put my meals into the diary! Counted for about 2 years so I know enough about nutrition and what I'm eating to go it alone, fuelling workouts etc...
Just being mindful about eating really. Wanted to find a sustainable way to continue eating well without having to count for the rest of my life! working so far.0 -
I go through fits and spurts. I will log for a bit mainly to give myself an idea of what I am doing well or doing poorly. Then I go back to just making it up as I go. Been maintaining for a year so pretty good but I decided to get back on here for a while again to get a better grip on what I need to do to lose a bit more.0

They'd probably let you back in if you said you did crossfit, just like the cave people did.0 -
I don't count
I used to, and I check macros and stuff on occasion, but I've spent the last year trying to apply what I've learned and transition to mindful & 'intuitive eating'... it's not easy, but I'm getting there0
