Are you meaning proper intermittent fasting or this 5:2 fad? If so I used the specific hours one and lost 7 stone in over 2 years. You should go on YouTube and look up hodge twins for this if it's not the 5:2 thing as they explain real fasting and the best way about it and they have proven results. Let me know what you think0

No straight up 18-16 hour fasts and ur 4-6 eating window.. I didn't even know there is a fad or Variation about it? When I did a 6-16 it was great I could easily maintain, cut, or bulk. With this app it will be even easier. I watch hodgetwins on the reg.0

I just started intermittent fasting 2 weeks ago. Been losing about a pound a week but it has limited my cravings. I fast 18 hours eat within a 6 hour window.0

For those of us who love it, I.F. is the way to go. I don't think it's for everyone but I love, love, love this lifestyle. 18:6 for me too. I still have to count calories because I could easily go over. I went on maintenance all summer and it was great, but I still had to count. Back on restricted calories and I still get to feel full once a day. How great is that?0

You don't need specific macros. IF or 5:2 is just a method that may help you keep a consistent calorie deficit. For IF (eating window) you would eat the calories MFP provided, and tweak macros as needed to help you stay full. For 5:2 you would eat maintenance for 5 days and 500 calories the other 2. Here's a good maintenance calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
Here are links to a couple of groups....lots of information there.

This is "the fad" referenced above. It's really a method of zig-zagging your calories.....zig-zagging is nothing new, it's been around for decades.0
