Every time we run, we have to goals in mind: to lose weight; and to have fun. There are stages to the run: Step 1: Motivating yourself to get up and do it. This is by far the hardest part and will always be the thing to put you off. All you remember is the pain and the endurance of the last run, and to be honest you'd rather be sat on your bum watching TV. That's all right, everyone feels this at one point. But you've got to think and try and focus on the positives. This may be hard but think; cardio gives great abs and legs, what more do you want? Think of the times you look at models and think, wow I wish I had legs like her. Well now is your chance! Grab your trainers and get going.
Step 2: Warming up. This is a good part. You're so thrilled with yourself and to be honest this is where you think wow, I'm great, stuff like that. You just want to get up and run.
Step 3: The start of the run. You feel amazing! You feel like your running on air, like you could go on forever, at this point, try to grab on to that optimism and keep it with you, cause you'll need it.
Step 4: The middle of the run. Ouch! This is where it gets nasty. You've run a good few laps and now your whole body is screaming STOP! But don't worry, we all feel that. At this point p, you definitely need motivation again. So think; Imagine you, a toned body, flat abs and fab legs, running across the beach in a bikini, like all the cheesy models do. Think; even the models have to go through this, They don't get great bodies by starving themselves and becoming anorexic. Think of the next race, or even a run with your friends. Think how you'll be able to storm ahead of them, and still not be out of breath. Every stride counts towards those dreams.
Step 5: The final push. Wow! You're amazing! You've run all that way and the finish line is in sight! Try to sprint, this can raise your cardio by 75 percent! Your legs feel light, like there not even there. Yes, I'm sure your face will be a picture, all wrinkled up, covered in sweat, the strain across the skin. But that doesn't matter! All that matters is the amazing fact that you've finished it and when you go across that line or that goal, once again you feel invincible!
Step 6: After run. Now keep walking! Whatever you do, don't stop, it can cause your chest to tighten up. Reflect on your race, think what you g.
