Calorie allowance question

I'm confused. I am 5'8" and 170 pounds trying to lose about 10-15 pounds. 35 years old and a teacher with moderate daily activity. I exercise every day, although in my profile I said I would exercise 4 times per week just for some wiggle room. IS there a reason why my calorie allowance is only 1200 before exercise, and it seems like everyone else's is higher? Did I enter something wrong?

It is probably because you (most likely) entered that you want to lose 2lb per week. With only 10-15 to lose you should set it at 1/2 pound per week; you'll still lose AND you'll get a more reasonable calorie goal.0

Thank you! I feel much better now. I have been kicking myself for going over my calorie allowance daily.0

This.
And keep in mind MFP does not include exercise. It expects you to log exercise and eat those calories back which would mean you eat more than 1200 on most days.
The fact it asks for exercise goals causes confusion. It is simply a goal and is not factored into your calorie equation until you log it.0
