What makes you nostalgic?

Maybe it's just because I've had a little bit to drink, but I find myself reminiscing on times, places, and people that are now gone. What makes you nostalgic?

Hmmm Christmas for sure. Getting together with my relatives. Lile seeing my cousin the past two days and talking about how we always get in trouble and even though there's lots of years age difference we have always had fun

Certain songs make me wanna cry, they remind me of people who've passed...Christmas specials (even commercials!) on tv choke me up, they make me think of family and friends who I don't see anymore, or again, who've passed away.....I'm a big suck when it comes to that stuff....BUT Watching little kids makes me nostalgic in a more bittersweet, happy, content way.....the sound of little giggles can bring me back in an instant <3

Listening to Blink 182 makes me very nostalgic and sad...I don't even like them but it was one of my sister's favorite bands when we were kids. I can remember hearing their music blaring from her room during many summer vacation days.

Driving to places like beach's and out the countryside, reminds me of all the places my dad took us. Kinda national lampoon family vacation feeling haha.

I loved that book read every story at lease 100 times.

Nick Jr had reruns of Clarissa Explains It All the other night. That brought me back.

I am not even a Michael Jackson fan, really, but when I hear either "Thriller" or "Billie Jean" I get SO nostalgic...I'm instantly transported to elementary school sleepovers in the autumn with pizza and dance parties!

Eating sugary kids cereals. The 80's and 90's had the best cereals. Although Lucky Charms is still around. I remember Smurf Cereal. Happiness in a bowl I tell ya.

Remembering Saturday mornings when I was a kid makes me nostalgic. I'd wake up first almost every time, park in front of the TV and watch X-Men and then Batman while eating cereal, usually Fruity Pebbles (or the generic version, more often). Later on when my sisters would wake up, we'd play video games on the Sega Genesis or, later, the PS1. Usually it was a Mortal Kombat game and I'd end up ragequitting because I'd be trying to do combos and they'd just button-mash and wreck me like every time. In the afternoon I'd go outside and meet up with my friends who lived nearby. We'd either ride bikes or play street hockey until the sun went down. Those were probably the most care-free times of my life.
