Being somewhere my mother used to go. She died in 1977 and there are really very few places left... most of my family and friends have moved house since then, most of the stores she liked are long gone, and even the restaurants the family used to go to have either been torn down or turned into something else.

They say we all look at the past with rose-colored glasses, and I definitely know that's true, but I can't help but to feel nostalgic when I think back on the times as a kid when I was happy with my sisters and everything seemed right in the world. Of course, kids always see the world this way and rarely see what's behind the curtain, but ignorance can really be bliss sometimes.
