my dads friend went fishing in Alaska and gave us a bunch of salmon fillets. Sorry if it's hard to see or tell since they're frozen, but what kind of salmon is this? Sockeye??? I just want to make sure I log it right. Thanks!(: photos below.

Onchorynchus mykiss(Steelhead) so it is either trout or salmon depending on saltwater or land locked fresh water. Ask him where he caught it and go from there.0

Looks like wild pacific sockeye to me0

Definitely not lox.0

I'd say sockeye (the defrosted flesh is a deeper pink).0

Could be a Coho or Spring0

it doesn't matter much, calorie wise. Just log it.0

Wild Alaskan salmon? Yes, please! One of the yummiest foods on the planet. Enjoy. I don't think the actual type will make that much difference in your logging.0
