leg presses - what is a good weight to body weight ratio?

I used the leg press at the gym today for the first time and pressed 20k over my body weight. I have no idea whether that is good or not.

If it's more than you've done before than it's good0

I'm not sure that the Leg Press is really used as a device to measure one's strength against. Typically people and especially Strength & Conditioning coaches will use the Squat 1RM as a measure of one's lower-body strength because there's a transfer of ability with the Squat. If you enjoy doing the Leg Press, then just set goals for yourself; one long-term goal and short-term goals that help you reach your goal. Also, don't limit what you consider strong to only a 1-rep max, look at what you can press for 5 reps or 10-reps even.0 -
I did 3 sets of 10. I don't usually spend much time in the weights area. Thanks for the tips.0

Watch your form. If in doubt, ask a trainer at the gym.0
