plz enlighten me

So I just started a few weeks ago and why is it every 3 days I want to eat everything and I'm sluggish. My body can't tolerate a lot of breads, potatoes, noodles and stuff even fruits upset my stomach. So I started cutting bad carbs even fruits and eating lots of veggies but I still feel sluggish every 3 days and want to splurg even tho I know it's going to be very bad after like literally trying to puke my intestines out. Plz help me

If you ate all of those things before, then it is unlikely that they are the cause of your issues. I would take a closer look at what Has changed. Did you add exercise? Is your deficit too aggressive? Did you add something new to your diet or supplements?

Figured we could address that later rather than get side tracked with the same ol same ol but yes, everything in moderation. That argument won't help the Op figure out what actually is wrong though

What are you eating? Eggs? Meat? Which vegetables?
Consider changing your goal to lose one pound a week.

I am going to guess that your deficit is too extreme. When I cut down to 1400cals i was in tears once a week from being so stressed and underfed. I am now eating at least 1700 a day and my energy levels are steady and i feel strong. Make sure you're not under eating.

Maybe take a few deep breathes, a glass of wine, or a snickers... And reread what I wrote, in the morning. Not once did I say you were wrong. Just that the OP needs help and that a 'good carb' vs 'bad carb' argument might detract from her actually figuring out what the real issue is. But if you really believe MFP needs another thread about bad carbs, go for it, it's a free world.

Hi @vibrantval83 and welcome to MFP

So it sounds like you have stomach issues and have identified specific foods as the cause ...it would be a good idea to avoid those

But you're experiencing other issues like sluggishness?

    I would suggest

    1) ensure you are adequately hydrated ..check your urine colour if it's not pale or straw colour up your liquid intake (google urine hydration chart image)

    2) check your fibre levels

    3) check your net calories level...you need adequate to fuel your body

    What are your current stats
What have you set in your profile
What's your goal loss per week
Set diary to public for specific advice

And where did u assume that I thought you were saying I'm wrong? Lol, I didn't plus I'm not wrong, and even so I actually agree that u and the 125 poster could potentially be the most helpful here, so i took a step back and left before the hijacking drama could develop. And ditto on the wine, barternura's girl here, no worries ;)

I try to fill up on veggies, celery, carrots, lettuce, spinach, ect and eggs, meats cheese. It fills me up but then some days I just want breads, pasta and indulge! An if I do it's bad. Maybe the sluggishness is from the time change.

I only drink 4 to 8 oz of water plus 4-12 oz of milk. Didn't matter.

Better to track fiber than sugar, you can change that in your settings.

It was asked a few times above, how much are you trying to lose, what rate of loss did you set, are you exercising, and what percentage of exercise calories do you eat back?

are you consuming adequate calories? calories are energy...if you're sluggish you may not be consuming enough energy.

How much fibre are you getting you may not need more - berries are a good source

Are your bowel movements regular and normal?

Are you going to post stats and open your diary otherwise this is all generic advice

Please do answer the bolded bit :)

It's not uncommon to feel sluggish if you're not fueling your body. If your deficit is too aggressive, you're likely to feel tired often, and the tiredness can also lead to carb cravings since your body wants more fuel.

    No

First port of call is to see your doctor. If specific food groups are causing negative physical symptoms for you, then you might have an undiagnosed medical condition.

I thought I opened my diary. What stats?

Age, height, current weight, activity level excluding purposeful exercise

Also start weighing all your food on a digital scale, no cups or spoon measurements
