Eggs At The Office?

Whats the best way to make eggs ahead of time that I can take to the office for breakfast? (not hard boiled)

    This is what I used to do:

    1.) Buy one of those microwave egg-poacher things.
    2.) Take two raw eggs to work
    3.) At your mealtime, crack an egg into each side with a bit of water and snap it shut
    4.) Cook in microwave
    5.) put a half slice of cheese over each cooked egg.

    It takes like 5 minutes to do.

    I scramble them before I walk out the door and reheat them in the microwave for a minute when I get here.

    They're a little "rubbery", but not horrible.

    When I did paleo, I would just scramble two eggs in a Pyrex bowl and throw in the microwave for 1:30.

    They're a little "rubbery", but not horrible.
    This is what I do as well. If I put them in my lunchbag they are usually still warm so I don't always reheat them.

    This worked for me as well. I even added some ham, cheese and veggies for an instant omelette.

    Please don't cook eggs at the office if the kitchen is near people's workspace. I sit near the kitchen and the smell is terrible!

    I use the microwave egg cooker, too. 1:10 and they're done. Hungry Girl has a bunch of recipes for egg mugs on her website, but I've never gotten around to trying them.

    2 eggs cracked into a 2cup pyrex container with a little water & some spinach, shake it up then microwave, I'd do 1:30 then check on it and go further if need be.

    Now I fry eggs at home and undercook them a little bit since I reheat for 35 seconds with my homemade chicken burger. Yum

    I used to sit by the kitchen and the eggs never bother anyone.
    They'd know if I had added garlic to it though.

    on a Sunday I'll take a dozen eggs, mix with a little milk, your favorite veggies (you can saute some ahead of time), fresh basil and/or chives, salt and pepper and some shredded cheese, canadian bacon or cooked turkey sausage. Mix all together and spray some large muffin tins with cooking spray and bake in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes and you have breakfast for atleast a week. I put in the fridge and take one to work each morning and give a 20 second or so microwave reheat and you're good to go!

    I preapre scrambled eggs the night before. Mix two eggs with a bit of milk and add whatever veggies and cheese i want. I put it in a tupperware container and then microwave it when I get to work. I usually need to do it for 3 min stiring every 1 min. I eat that along with a banana at 7:30ish (though I eat the banana slow... take a bite, set it down, do some work, and repeat) and it fills me up till about 11:15 with lunch just around the corner :) Oh and I put Cayanne pepper in it because I read is supposed to be a metabolism booster.
  • I have a co-worker at my office who scrambles eggs with peppers and onions and cooks them in muffin tins then freezes (sometimes adds sausage crumbles too). When she gets to work she just pops them in the microwave and it doesn't smell at all to reheat them. You can cut them in half n put them on Ezekiel bread for a low carb/ high protein breakfast that’s delicious and convenient for work!

    I prepare everything at home too.

    2 eggs
    1 pepperoni stick
    2 mushrooms
    28g of soy cheese

    When i get to work, i toss it in the microwave. Not once has someone complained about the smell. Usually I get "damn that smells good" must be the pepperoni

    I've also made the egg muffins. But i'm not a big fan. They seem a different consistency when I re-heat them.

    Regarding the smell, nobody ever complains about my eggs, but I've been banned from cooking shiratake noodles at work.

    I make everything at work. I toast bread or english muffin, microwave 1 egg for 20secs in a bowl then top the egg with a piece of cheese and cook for another 20secs. Cut the toast in half and I've got myself and egg sandwich. Sometimes I'll add a meat sometimes not.

    you can put two eggs in a coffee mug with your seasoning or a dollop of ranch scramble in mug and microwave... cooks pretty fast and super fluffy

    Omelets! You can make some in advance and freeze them. Take it to work and nuke it for about a minute. Easy and filling!

    Our (my toddler and I) go to omelet is 2 EB eggs, 1 fully cooked turkey sausage patty, 1/4 reduced fat, shredded cheese and 1/2 roma tomato, diced. Stir it up, add salt & pepper and drop it in the pan. Fully cook on one side then flip (don't fold- leads to undercooked eggs!). I split in half for a 1 egg omelet meal. It's 195 calories per serving. If you were to eat the whole thing at once (most men should/would?) that's 390 for a very *kitten* kicking breakfast.

    There is an Atkins recipe for eggs cooked in a muffin tin. I make a batch of them on the weekend and then freeze them. I pull out what I want and just zap them in the microwave.

    6-large eggs
    Crumbled cooked bacon, sausage and ham (or anyone you pick) I like canadian bacon
    Shredded cheese
    Diced onions, peppers or tomatoes (optional) I like green chilli's
    muffin pan

    Place a teaspoon of meat into each cup of the muffin pan
    Then add your choice of veggies
    Beat eggs in a liquid measuring cup with a spout
    Pour egg mixture just a little over half way (eggs will puff up)
    Top with shredded cheese
    Bake in the oven 350 for about 10-12 minutes (watch so they don’t burn)
    Let cool, wrap each in plastic wrap. Heat as needed refrigerate the rest.

    This is what I do. I fry two eggs on my way out the door, put on top of leftover veggies, potatoes, sausage, bacon, or top with half an avocado, and heat for 30 seconds when I get to work. When I have sausage, the warehouse guys say my office smells like a restaurant lol.

    My co-worker cooks breakfast quesadillas a couple times a week. The eggs in them smell so bad that I have to leave our office and go outside for a 20 minute walk when she cooks them. Sometimes the smell is still lingering in the air when I get back. Makes me gag!

    I've never told her directly that their smell makes me feel very queasy. I figure it's my problem and just leave the area until the smell dissipates. :-)

    for a couple bucks at the store you can buy a bag of frozen precooked egg patties. they come in handy for makin a breakfast sammich at the office.

    I mix egg whites and oatmeal and microwave it. 3/4 cup of instant oatmeal, some water and 1 1/2 cups of egg whites. Microwave for 2:30, stir, microwave for 1:30. Slice a banana and put it on top. Tastiest thing in the world? No. 49 grams of protein and enough complex carbs to keep you feeling full for hours? Hell yeah.

    My coworkers are rather vocal so they'd say something, it's how my team is actually.

    I take mine to work like this too... .I use the egg poacher cup to transport the whole egg so it doens't crack in my lunch bag.
    I don't add any water.... just poke yolk once with my fork. Works great ! If you forget the micro cup or don't have a mug works perfectly.

    I've tried the make ahead egg' muffins' they're messy, they don't last long in the freezer, and are kinda rubbery reheated. In my OP
