I got my trainer a gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods. It was a bit more than I usually spend but his birthday was in November so it is a combination gift.

Many of my clients give me small gifts. Ones I like the most are gift cards to restaurants.

May I ask how much the gift cards are worth? I got him a $20 chipotle gift card because we talk about chipotle all the time. But I'm not sure if it's too little of an amount?
$10 is enough IMO. I realize that some are giving as gratitude for service and friendship, but IMO the best gratitude I get is when my clients reach their goal. That means I truly did my job correctly. And that's not just BS. A successful client is the best advertisement for any personal trainer without having to go out and sell anything, so helping them helps me.

"Giving as gratitude for service and friendship"

That made me chortle for no apparent reason
