Weight loss is all about calories in < calories out. Walking/exercising is all about your fitness and cardio. Walking 30 minutes a day will help you feel better, great for cardio. You cannot outrun, or out walk, out exercise a bad diet.

I got a Fitbit charge HR. I love it!! It keeps great track of my steps, and the calorie burns are more reliable. Love the workout mode. Love, love, love!!

This is when I SNAPPED & bought the HR. At my caregiving job in a rural area of the Russian River i build a huge fire every morning, restock fire supplies from the garage, cook meals, and run up and down stairs at least a half dozen times, sometimes more, and my phone pedometer was not capturing any of it! Before El Niño hit I didn't care because I just came home & took a walk. But now I want to see those steps too dammit!

Sometimes mine hides under the covers during the cold weather and I have to dig in and drag it out.

I'm in. Got a new fitbit for Christmas and so far I love the workout mode when I take a walk. Thanks to a knee injury Christmas day it has been slow going. But I am up to a mile in one shot, thanks to the dog it is a slower mile than I would like. (All those post cards to answer on the path) but we are getting there.
1/11 2 Miles (walked with a friend and then went shopping)
1/12 1.5 Miles (walked with the dog and then hit the grocery store for dinner)

I had started walking in my neighborhood last summer, but then school, money troubles, an accident, etc. At any rate, it's a new year and I am ready to do this....and I refuse to buy new pants, so there's that.0
