How do I change the app from ounces to grams?

An once is a unit of measurement by weight same as grams.

As for changing the app, maybe you could give a little more info as to what you mean.

Are you talking about when you log food into the diary? Pick a food, then go to "serving size" and see if there are any choices in grams. If not, pick another listing. Most (all?) of the listings from the USDA have grams as a choice. So when searching for a food to add, type in something like "fresh broccoli USDA" or "raw cashews USDA".

(An ounce is 28.3 grams. Also, an ounce is 1/16 of a pound.) Metric makes SO much more sense!!!

This change would not affect the Food Database items. If a food item has been added by an MFP user in ounces, it may only be in ounces. MFP has an algorithm that has automatically converted some food items from ounces to grams, but it has not been applied to all user-entered food items.
