    But also, the comment about breastfeeding wasn't really helpful on this post. And this post wasn't directed to you. You are not a mother trying to lose a lot. This is about support and motivation, and not to make people feel bad about not being able to breastfeed.

    I do not comment on threads of men trying to gain weight for muscle building, because that not what I'm trying to do. Maybe, minding your own, is something you should look into.

    Tried extremely hard to breastfeed both babies, I educated my self to the extreme for the second one. Turned out I didn't have enough breast tissue to make a FULL supple for my 10 pound baby :(

    So now here I am, 4 months later, lifting weights and eating right and enough times a day 95% of the time! Would love to add some of you for motivation!

    My work is with breastfeeding moms and its all about lactation so yes i am concerned when it comes to breastfeeding! I didnt make anyone feel bad , i am talking facts. Thanks

    I doubt this person has children from their flippant comments, not everyone can breastfeed so to say it so casually is ridiculous! I had an awful time trying to breastfeed and was upset and felt so guilty for not being able to for weeks. I agree with ARC1603 for someone to try and get their milk supply back just to lose weight is wrong.

    No I don't have children but i am a lactation specialist. I did not say that mothers should breastfeed just to lose weight!!! I said it helps but breastfeeding has soooo many benefits to the mother and the child. Every woman can breastfeed and to keep your supply, you have to keep on breastfeeding exclusively for the first 6 months and then continue till two years or more while introducing foods.

    Next time u have s child, ask a lactation consultant to help you with the positioning of your baby.

    It had nothing to do with the "postioning" of the baby!!!, I was very ill and was re admitted to hospital a week after getting home therefore could not breastfeed and by the time I was able to try again my son was not interested in breastfeeding and wasnt getting enough from me and got very distressed everytime I tried!!!!.

    I am well aware how breastfeeding works in theory but like I said before not everyone can do it for a multitude of reasons and it was a very upsetting and distressing experience for me and my son!!.

    You do not get to decide if you made anyone feel bad. They get to decide that. You can spout facts out all day long. If you spout them in a conversation that has nothing to do with you, or what it is about then -- You, Ma'am, are not concerned. This post had nothing to do with breastfeeding until you hijacked it. It has to do with women trying to lose a LOT of weight after having a baby.

    I have an 8 week old and have to lose 33lbs to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was fat shamed by my GP and it has given me extra motivation .

    My son is 6 month old . I have to loose 60 pounds. It's so hard for me..... Bec I love to eat .
    Being home and not working doesn't help either. But I decided I have to get healthy and loose some weight. Let's support each other !

    Good luck to you and much much motivation for your journey. You can do it!!
    I love to eat too and just started. I know it will be hard to stay on track, but I'm not even there. The very start is so difficult for me.
