Every time I hear that I think about watching Back To The Future.

For me wow there is so many to choose from, but I'll have to say..... Tell Her About It- Billy Joel. It always reminds me of being a kid at the skating rink

That is where I first heard it. One of my favourite movies. Malt shops, diners and juke boxes. Those would've been the days.....

for some random reason etta james' "at last" immediately game to mind. love that tune - so sexy.

but pretty much anything Hendrix. "the wind cries mary" has always been a favorite. Janis' version of "summertime" has a place close to my heart. David bromberg's tunes from that era kick *kitten*, as well as much of his stuff now. Marley of course - many of his jams. Many Beatles tunes; can't forget Morrison and the Doors.

Dude. SO much good music from back in the day. it is literally impossible to choose one favorite.

Over the Rainbow - Music by: Harold Arlen, Lyrics by: E.Y. Harburg
Sung by Judy Garland in Wizard of Oz

My grandmum used to sing this too me all the time. Whenever I was sad or couldn't sleep I would call her and it would end with her singing to me. This was frequently her song of choice. It would cheer me up or put me to sleep pretty quickly.

Oh, who needs that sentimental music anyway.

Takes more than just a melody to make me cry.
