Mine would have to be Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison from the summer of 1967.

This song brings back many memories of the summer I first met my husband. I was 15 and he was 16, and at times he would drive up and down my street in his car with his friend who lived across the street from me, playing that song full blast so that I would came out to talk to them. He still loves my brown eyes.

I like AC/DC's Highway To Hell... it reminds me of when I was little and me and my dad used to jump around to it and go crazy. Makes me smile :)

Wow. I guess I have a different opinion on what oldies is...to me, most of these songs are classics, not oldies. I was thinking more 50s doo-wop diner music, like Why Do Fools Fall in Love by Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers, which is a good one. I love anything by Elvis or the Beach Boys, but my favorite are Only Fools Rush in and All Shook Up by Elvis, and Barbara Ann and Kokomo by the Beach Boys. You know...real oldies

Some more of my favorite oldies are:

    Chantilly Lace-The Big Bopper
    Beyond The Sea-Bobby Darin
    Little Pretty One-Bobby Day
    Stupid Cupid-Connie Francis
    Most of Elvis's songs
    Day-O (Banana Boat Song)-Harry Belafonte
    Some Nat King Cole
    Lonesome Town-Ricky Nelson
    The Stroll-The Diamonds

I'm sure there are some more I am forgetting.

I also like a lot of the music from the 60s-90s. Some of the more current music from the past decade till now is alright too.

Oh, who needs that sentimental music anyway.

Takes more than just a melody to make me cry.
