That has to be really exciting for you. I almost got one 10 years ago, but I didn't like the idea of being attached to it all the time.0

I have the meter that can bolus with out me taking out my pump u should reconcider because thet now have a tubless one called an omipod. do some reserch and makesure to read ALL reviews about the pump.
That's amazing. With technology and medicine advancing, I bet it's changed a lot since I last thought about it 10 years ago, so if they have a tubeless one I'm totally in. My dad had kidney failure from diabetes before he died and I hated the idea of being attached to tubes all day like he was.0 -

Thanks.
I'm definitely gonna have to look into that. I've been on insulin pens since I was 12, I loved them growing up, but I think a pump would work better.0 -

Congrats!!! I've been back on my pump for about 5 months now. I LOVE it! I can't believe how much better my blood sugars are. What pump are you on? I'm on the t:slim G4 and also on a CGM (which I also love), the Dexcom G4.0

Shots are horrible. I've been taking them at least twice a day for over 21 years now and I still hate them. Getting my blood drawn everytime I go to the doctors is the worst because the needles are so massive and they take forever to get it ready, so by the time they stick you with the needle you're having an axiety attack. Needles are painful.0

You're welcome
Wow, just can't get over how minimally invasive the pumps are now...that's so awesome the changes they've made. Though I don't use one I was in a water class about 8 years ago with a women who had a pump and she was able to just take it off during class and put it back on after showering etc.
It's so good ppl have far more options with insulin now.
So again, congrats, glad life is simpler now and it's an awesome color too!0 -

The pump is WAY easier
Do the pumps ever get in your way though? I know my big belly does. haha I might have to add that as a motivator on my weight loss list. haha0 -

You have. I recently started thinking about this again a couple weeks ago, but I wanted to get people's opinions on them first and then decide if it's something I want to do.0

I'm constantly having a difficult time with high and low sugars, and they're always going up and down, it seems like I have no way to control it, so maybe I just have to change my insulin or something. I was thinking maybe a pump would help. The only time my number is in a normal range is when it's on its way to being a low blood sugar or a high blood sugar. It's incredibly frustrating.0

I'm usually low when I wake up. And then I'll check it before I go to bed and I'm high. Then it's all over the place throughout the day. A few weeks ago I was gone for like 10hrs doing Christmas shopping and whatnot, I ate only once the entire time I was out and I came home after all that walking and when I got home my blood sugar was almost 500. I have no idea how it even got that high. All I did was have a Diet Coke, a burger and some fries. Burgers and fries don't even usually make my blood sugar that high. Then I did all that walking to the point that my feet were sore for 3 days. I don't know what would've caused it to get 500! I was so mad.0
