mmmm NO! its only mine! but thanks for the idea! :flowerforyou:0 -
I'd show off mine, but I'm a guy and people would make fun of me for having one there.
(I really don't have one there)
I know a guy that has one there. It says "Rude" in big old English letters.0 -
Well it doesn't matter where you get it, it's gonna hurt. Some places a lot more then others.0

thinking the same!! I want it there lol!! I will think about the design! but I do want some butterflies !! and I will practice the Lamaze again!!!!!
Thanks Benol and puda!! im looking for something with a meaning!! I never had a tattoo before, so I didn't know about the tramp stamp stuff !!!
Im with you...I had NO idea...it was about 10yrs before someone told me I have a tramp stamp (and I said nooo its not a stamp, its a real tattoo! LMFAO!) , and even then I didnt get what it was supposed to mean until a few more months later when I was saying how someone stupidly called my tattoo a stamp, and they were like uhhh, and explained what a tramp stamp means.
It really just makes me think though, one has to really have their mind in the gutter to consider a part of the body trashy and say something like that to someone. It was then, and still is now, just the location of where my tat is. I dont think my body is trash so that whole thing that some people feel about their body or whatever names they describe how they feel about it doesnt really apply to me.
When it comes to tattoos, you really have to follow your heart, do whatever it is you want to do. last thing you want is 10yrs from now to say you wish you had done what you wanted to your body, instead of what someone who doesnt even have to look at you wanted for your body. Tats are way to permanent for that kind of nonsense.0 -

I designed my family logo. All four of us have the same tattoo. Four hands all around, connected by love, each hand with an icon for that person; dragonfly for Mel, eagle feather for her husband Mikal, bear paw for my husband, Bear, and the sun for me, who loves the Caribbean. It's a tattoo special to my family. You can see it in my profile picture.0

TRAMP STAMP!!!!
^0 -
Don't get a tramp stamp at all. They're almost universally trashy-looking.
Sorry. No...I'm not sorry. It's the freaking truth.0 -
Choose whichever one you like best and would be happy having on your body for the rest of your life - unless you decide to have it removed, of course.
Think long and think hard, because I made a mistake with my first one and just had it covered up.
If I'm being honest about those two, I really dislike them, but that is because they are uninspiring and from a flash card. Go to a good artist, give them an idea of what you want, what you like, who you are, and let them design something uniquely you, that nobody else will have!
SO MUCH THIS^^^^
Go to a TRUE artist & get a custom design. NOT FLASH (meaning do NOT pick a pic off a wall. 4 million others will have the same lame thing)0 -
Put a pair of eyes right therrrrr.
Um, I don't have any tattoos... yet. But I don't think I want one there.0 -
Not for them. At all.
BUT...if i was forced it would say "NOT TODAY PLEASE".0 -
I have both of my shoulders tattooed, but I found designs I loved, waited a few months, still loved them, and went to the same artist that did some of my wife's tattoo's and cover-up's and she put her own twist on them.
First one is a C for my maiden name [Carroll] as my family did not take it well when I took my wife's last name. I love nature and wanted it to be a little 'girly' without being overdone. I am pleased with the result. I had her add the trinity as, to me, it symbolizes a never-ending tie, specifically life, death, rebirth. [for some it is the holy trinity, others maiden/mother/crone, to each your own]
Second is for my wife. She had a tattoo done across her forearm to symbolize her eternal commitment to me prior to our marriage. I have always loved the claddagh regardless, so it has dual meaning to me. [Why yes, I am Irish as well]
Personally, I think lower back tattoo's are fine if you put meaning into them. I'll second everyone else and say do not choose pre-made work, put thought into it or bring in idea's to your artist and have them draw something for you. You can have a small piece centered on your spine too, do not need what I'd call 'filler' for lack of better word on both sides just to fill it in.0 -
A bulls eye is always a nice choice

How about having your name tattooed there so guys don't forget? You could get it written in butterflies.0

A postage stamp with the image of "Tramp" from "Lady and the Tramp" inside.0

Think about your favorite piece of clothing and then imagine wearing it every day for the rest of your life.0

I think tattoos are creative and fun. I have 4 and if I could afford it I would have many more. I have already told all three of my children that I will pay for their first tattoo...after they turn 18. I was 15 when I got my first and it wasn't the best idea. It has since been covered up. But it really does have to mean something to you. The one I had covered up doesn't mean anything to me. Unfortunately. My second one is three roses with my kids first initials above them. That one is on my ankle. I have the Chinese symbol for friendship on the back of my neck that I got with my cousin. And I have a "tramp stamp" as they are called that a good friend of mine drew. I don't regret any of them. Not even the one with no meaning. Which now is just a small rose on my hand. When I reach my goal weight I want to have a bunch of gladiolus put on my thigh. That is the flower for the month of August which is when I was born.0

neither :S0

Is this serious? I thought everyone at this point was covering up tramp stamps with new tats.0

Its not the tattoo design, but the location its in that make it a tramp stamp. covering it up wont relocate the tattoo hehehe!
But yeah, believe it or not, its not the tattoo istelf, but putting anything on the lower back that some are against and think is trashy.
Like I said, though, to me its just a part of the body, I dont get why some people think that particular area of skin is so trashy. Now...if I could tattoo my brain, that would be a seriouly tramp stamp, cause theres no part of my body that can get dirtier than that LoL0
