1: I was a police officer in the Navy

I love SP....they always used to give me a ride back to the ship when the locals got tired of us.

In the Navy, we were called Master-At-Arms or MA for short. (Similar to MP) Shore Patrol was a position for overseas, but we were still considered MAs. :) Oh locals love us too lol When I was in KW they used to drop off military members at our gates and go "Here, you take them. We don't want to deal with this." lol

You must have been in at a different time than I (checks your profile). Ah yes. When I was in ('86-'92), they were all called SP, no matter what port we were in. Had the armbands with SP on them. My second ship (USS Ortolan ASR-22) was pretty much anchored to Pier Mike in Charleston, so I got to know a lot of the SP's well. EN2/SW
