Beginners Challenge.... 50 miles in July

Wednesday July 17th
-was supposed to walk with a friend outside at 10:30am but we're under a heat warning & a humidex warning so considered walking at 8:00am or 8:30am but it was already humid then as it never cooled down overnight so we walked inside a mall for about an hour from about 10am to 11am without stopping to look at anything but I didn't track the miles as my GARMIN doesn't usually receive satellites when I am inside so I didn't log the hour of walking just see it as bonus exercise
-walked with husband at 10pm but it was still warm and humid so very sweaty... YUCK!
-GARMIN didn't seem to be tracking our average speed correctly as it had a higher mph than usual so think something was off but don't know what
-it said our average speed was 4.7 mph and although we were walking fast I am sure we were not walking that fast
-walked 2.82 miles
-if the GARMIN information is wrong and I actually burned less calories and walked a slower average speed and didn't walk as many miles as it said I am still okay with logging it since I walked for an hour in the morning with my friend without logging it
Thursday July 18th
-walked 2.09 miles on the treadmill
Friday July 19th
-walked 2.08 miles and even though I did it before noon I was still very sweaty as it was warm and humid!

Since you have been running, have you experienced any knee changes?
My knees do not hurt, but right below my patella, the skin changed color-- like I have been on my knees. Could it be bruising? Can running cause any of this?0 -

WOOHOO!!!! Going for 60 but if all goes according to the plan I should get there no problem0 -
