For the Love of Sugar and Bread

So, I'm starting back on a no grains, low-carb, way of eating that I learned in overeater's anonymous that worked well for me in the past. While I'm not yet totally low carb, I am sticking to avoiding things like oast, potatoes, rice, bread, things like that. My current weakness is protein bars that have 14 carbs total, 5 grams of fiber, and 10 grams of protein. They are both crunchy and sweet, so there's the reason why I like them so much. Ha! I'm trying to just focus on eating healthier foods and then ease myself into being even more structured, balanced, and my carb intake. At least I am not eating a majority of my diet from carbs, which is so easy to do.
I also did a cleanse yesterday and I'm so happy that I'm actually drinking a lot of water (even if it is sparkling water without any salt or real or fake sugars or preservatives).
I've been logging all my food and I hope to be able to get down to no more than 1,300-1,400 calories a day.
So happy that these discussion boards are here.

I suggest you check out the main low-carber forum group here in MFP then. It's where most of us Ketofiles hang out. Here's the link:

OA is a wonderful group! I eat less than 150 grams of carb per day and focus on whole natural food. You can do this!0

I'm definitely using the tools I learned in OA. I'm also feeling so happy that my cravings aren't bad. Like, I had a yummy fried tortilla in front of me today and I didn't inhale it. I also didn't eat the basket of chips that they bring out. It doesn't feel like I'm struggling to say no. In happy about that as I sometimes eat impulsively, like when I'm not really hungry but the new food treat looks really good.0
