This might just be personal but for my family (dad, sister, and brother) we all break out from drinking orange juice and coffee. It's weird but we all swear on it

Those are both acidic.. So makes sense. Might be sensitive to acidic food or dont eat enough alkaline foods?

Its interesting, think everyone has their own specific sensitivies which is why research isnt very helpful. Everyones is different, Its up to ourselves to figure it out.

Chocolate and too much fat, especially fat coming from dairy: cream or butter.

there is no medical proof of that. Look at the science of acne

Although I was commenting from a personal point of view on my experience, there you go:

"in acne-prone, male individuals, the consumption of chocolate correlates to an increase in the exacerbation of acne."

the best things I have ever used for improving my skin are coconut oil, avocado oil, and olive oil. No hyped lotions. But, to consider the question asked, laundry detergents tend to make my skin breakout.

This is what the study of 14 found not a big study
Despite the fact that there has been conflicting evidence regarding whether chocolate has an effect on acne or not, no studies were found in the literature that assessed the effect of 100-percent cocoa on acne exacerbation in a double-blind, placebo-controlled fashion. After ensuring that patients met stringent inclusion/exclusion criteria, and after significant attempts to remove any potentially confounding factors on the development of acne, this study supported the prior pilot study that suggested that chocolate does exacerbate acne in men between the ages of 18 and 35 years with a history of acne vulgaris.7 However, this study does have significant limitations that must be addressed.
so not exactly as you said

Dairy definitely makes me break out. Fatty foods (hot chips, pastry, pie etc) all give me bad skin. I have 3 pimples that appear in pretty much the exact same place if I have croissants and chips/fries within a few days of each other.

*shurgs* another reason for me to not eat them.

    Not many things- but Yes!
90% of the pre-made shakes that I have ever tried.
Biggest culprits were SlimFast & Atkins, etc - I would breakout with cystic acne.
    I avoid them altogether.

I also have found my pillow cases need to be switched out/washed more often than what I considered "normal" for that chore.

When I was having break outs I used Braggs ACV and Calcium Bentonite clay as a mask for acne relief every other day for 1 week and it draws out so many things from my face. Yes, I may have to suffer a week while it all comes out but then Im golden. Then I just use if for maintenance every other week or so. Ive also used it as a spot treatment to bring some breakouts to the surface. I rarely have issues anymore but I feel your pain. I find staying well hydrated and washing my face in the morning too, not just at night help.
