I'm Caye, I have 43 pounds to lose. My highest weight was 225 pounds, back in 1999 or 2000. I got down to 160 over the span of 2 years, and stayed there for several years. Through some hardships, my weight fluctuated between 160 and 175 pounds. Eventually, I got down to 148 pounds, but developed some poor stress management habits and shot back up to 180 pounds. Now, I've been really focused on improving my overall heath, keeping my blood chemistry right despite mounting endocrinological issues, including PCOS and diabetes. I have been learning to eat according to a ketogenic diet. I feel like this time I've learned so much. I know this time I can reach my wellness goals. I bet you can too. Nice to meet you.

Hello there and welcome. I suggest you check out the main low carber forum group here in MFP. It's where most of us Ketofiles tend to hang out. There are also several members in this group who have PCOS as well so it would be a good resource for you:

Hi .....we're following the ketogenic eating plan to....me to lose body fat and my husband to reduce blood sugar for type 2 diabetes .....his sugars have gone down from 13 to approx. 5.8..... It's amazing and I'm down between 8-10 lbs....scale fluctuates, so not concerned about it, since measurements are more accurate. What an eye opener to see that even though we were eating healthy, there is so much carbs and sugar even in brown rice and brown rice pasta....fruit and some dairy products.....I'm sure this will be a lifestyle for us, now that we know how we need to eat.....good luck...my highest weight was about 223 and I'm 5'8..... Was 125 when we got married about 36 yrs ago and I thought I was fat then....god.....my goal is around 160 but just going week by week and looking forward to reaching 20 lb lost.....let me know any ticks to staying Keto!1
