Losing weight on treadmill?

Just wondering with eating healthier foods can I lose weight just running on the treadmill only? Obviously when my body becomes use to it I would change my routine and make things more challenging for me but just wondering can I lose weight just running alone on the treadmill?

    Exercise for fitness and cardiovascular health.

    Doesn't matter what activity you do.

    Yes!!!! I've lost 54 lbs and the majority of my exercise was just walking :)

    Yes - treadmill is great but you need take in fewer calories than you burn. That's the bottom line. My treadmill runs let me eat a bit more, so that's why I'm a fan.

    Read the sticky posts at the top of eac MFP forum. The provide all the info you need to get going& develop a good plan.

    Did you only walk on the treadmill? Did you have a particular exercise you did? (Speed, incline etc)

    You can lose weight not exercising at all. It's just easier when adding exercise. Read the stickies in the forum, losing weight is nothing more than simple math, I lost 85 pounds in 10 months last year the number one reason was my diet change, second reason was spending an hour a day at least 5 days a week on a treadmill
