Hello I'm trying to lower my carb intake but still consume enough calories for the day. I'm struggling with eating low carb foods and still hitting my calorie target for the day. And I'm not on a low carb diet. I'm just trying to lower my carb intake.

When you lower carbs, you increase protein or fat.
Fat includes: nuts, bacon, avocados, cooking oil, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, full fat salad dressing, full fat milk, cheese, olives, tofu.0 -
Thank you for the input. I was worried to raise my fats and protein because I thought it would make me gain weight. I have over 100lbs to lose. I'm trying to play with my macros to see what works best for my body.0

There are other options to decrease carbs...there is a pasta maker DreamFields that is the lowest carb pasta out there. There are also low-carb tortillas. I have also used spaghetti squash to replace pasta noodles, and cauliflower to replace mashed potatoes.0

Dreamfields brand is NOT a "low carb" pasta whatsoever. If you are trying to go low-carb and you buying and eating Dreamfields then you are just sabotaging all of our efforts and shooting yourself in the foot.0 -

@Aukeilagirl in my case I lose eat fats and gain eating carbs. I do eat low carb and have to limit protein because 50% can become glucose.0

If your carb intake goes down, fat and protein go up! Which is just fine! I prefer to eat this way myself. Don't look at today's diary tho lol0

Really? With low carb, you can eat all meat and cheese. How can you not reach your calorie goals with that?0

Healthy fats should make up at least 60% of calories. Put Coconut Oil in your smoothies to bring up your calories. Start the day with Bulletproof Coffee.
