Not keeping fit past my 40's. I was in good shape back then, it's been a struggle to do it now. I'm getting there though. 15-20 pounds to go and feeling better than I have in years.

I would say not being more open to try unfamiliar things from foods to adventures, I'm such a person of habit.

That I got into fitness earlier. It turns out it's something I really enjoy.

I wish I would have not always put myself last for so long. I also wish I would have dated more and not settled down so young.

My biggest regret is that I started smoking when I was a young teen....kept poisoning myself until 11 years ago...TWENTY THREE years to regret. Word to nonsmokers and young people, DONT START!!!

That I went to college right after high school instead of getting married and having my daughter. Feels like I'm missing out on her growing up because I work and go to school now. Oh well... live and learn.

It's a toss up either starting smoking or not keeping up with a healthier lifestyle and exercise when I started grad school

+1 Seriously, I am 41 and just last year FINALLY decided I was worth a degree. In the local college, couldn't be happier.

However, I will say that I had a great stretch of time to raise my kids, and they are AMAZING, so the last 20 years was definitely not a waste.

That's great! I went back when I was 35. I have one more year to go before I finish with my BA. I just wished I would have done it sooner. Also, I was always putting everyone else first that I didn't take time for me. Now, I take the 30 minutes to an hour everyday to workout. I realized it's okay to be selfish sometimes, but it took my 40 years to learn it.

I regret not learning about financial things sooner. I'm 30 and there was so much that I was completely clueless about. I also wish I would have known what I wanted to major in while I was living at home. Unfortunately I didn't figure that out until a couple years ago and now I'm an 'adult' and this *kitten* is hard!

I wish I would have done more sports in HS instead of band...I only did track & field and band made it practically impossible to do more. I know that would have curbed my obesity for sure, when band seemed to enhance it! I also wish I wouldn't have listened to a jackwagon on becoming a PE teacher. I have been teaching 21 years and been waiting 6 to finally teach PE!

I wish I would have appreciated my figure back in my teens and twenties. I spent most of those years thinking I was fat. So much angst! lol

Mine isn't fitness related. Getting into drugs. Worst and dumbest decision I ever made.
    Turned my *kitten* around though.

I wish I hadn't fallen and hurt my back last year ... and this year, I wish I hadn't fallen and added my ankle to the list of body parts that don't work like they used to.

I can forget about step aerobics and lifting heavy now. And most cardio and weight classes.

That I spent six months trying to 'lose weight', going to the gym with my bf and then 'rewarding' ourselves with 2 cumberland farms hotdogs afterwards, or a milkshake... or those weekends of heavy drinking and domino's bacon jalapeno cheesy bread.
We were sitting around last night, tryna make a small chocolate milkshake and children's size fry fit into our daily allotments and laughing at how dumb we were.

There is always time to learn a new skill, martial arts are fabulous for both your physical health and your spiritual/mental wellbeing...I'd say GO FOR IT!!
