Heh, guess I fell for the hype. Good thing I didn't invest anything into it.

BTW, I know it's going to take a while to reverse the moderate damage I've done to myself. I'm not looking for a quick out, I'm more interested in a way to not FEEL as bloated. I have a terrible habit of needing instant gratification that I am trying to break myself out of. I've lost about 8lb of fat and gained about 1lb of muscle in the last 7-8 weeks, so I am trying to do it right, slow and steady.

    Thanks everyone.

    Yay you!

Are you really bloated, or is that another modern myth women are supposed to believe about ourselves that you've fallen for?

ETA: Or are you trying to say you're constipated? "Bloated" is such an unhelpful term.

I keep hearing this commercial on the radio saying "You may not be fat, just bloated" and I wanna beat my head against the steering wheel.

Also, I had some White Castle a few weeks ago, and that cleaned me out good. I'd recommend that. lol

Arrrgh! That commercial does my head in. I try to keep my yelling at the radio to the times when I'm alone in the car. (But don't always manage it.)

Help the OP understand what a load of bunkum cleanses are supported by nonsensical reasoning?

If a person believes they have liver damage or are experiencing toxic hepatitis they should be seeing their doctor...

cleanse! a much used word.... our kidney/liver functions do that very nicely all on their very own.

If you're feeling bloated drink more water, cut back on the foods that you know will make you feel sluggish and bloated.

Do you have a fully functioning Liver and Kidneys? If so, you don't need a cleanse, your body does it just fine on its own.

    Totally!

In my case increasing my water intake helped the liver and especially the kidneys clean better. It is kind of like a toilet flush, enough water is important.

Gale, Right on! Sometimes though a helpful purge is a good thing to get stuff rolling, litteraly. I started myfitnesspal and myzone after the last failed colonoscopy prep. This helped me realize that I was on a wrong tack and needed to make some serious adjustments. Also, not a believer in de-tox but, did a few colonics and really saw good results in both physical and mental health. Read "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" a great set of stories about how important a healthy gut environment is to our total health.

I've dropped from 225 to 208 in 6 months thanks to these discoveries plus a solid training program.

Just completed my latest prep and examine with great success. Not fun to prep but oh so nice when done!
Drink water, it'll make you bladder gladder.

The FDA classifies colonic irrigation systems as Class III devices that cannot be legally marketed except for medically indicated colon cleansing (such as before a radiologic endoscopic examination). No system has been approved for "routine" colon cleansing to promote the general well being of a patient. Since 1997, the agency has issued at least seven warning letters related to colon therapy.
