Fitness is one of my top three priorities, because it I love being active, especially outdoors. Plus fitness has such a huge impact on overall health and long life. I went on a 6-mile, moderately steep hike recently (2,240 feet of elevation gain), and with our group was a guy who was 86. He was perhaps 20 minutes slower than the rest of us (in our 40s, 50s and 60s), but he did the entire hike without any trouble at all. I want to be just like that when I get older. Instead of my mom, who died at 85, or my dad, who died at 88. I'm gonna go for a walk outside now.
