Has anyone ever used these? I stumbled across the webpage while searching for spaghetti squash cooking instructions.

It sounds like a great alternative to regular noodles (or spaghetti squash), but I'd like to hear from anyone who might have actually tried them.

Great, let me know how they worked for you, I think I might go ahead and order some too, it sounds like the solution to the pasta lover/ weight issues dilemma. Wow, fiber instead of carbs!0 -
I love them! But i must warn they are a little mushroomy and have a weird texture so they work best in asian soup based dishes and other asian dishes. My friend tried them with tomatoe sauce and cheese and she said Yuck!0

Thanks for the response.
I was confused about them being called 'shirataki' noodles, because it sounds like a type of mushroom.....but the noodles are not made from the mushrooms, they come from a plant that is not a fungus.
I hope we're talking about the same kind of noodles? They aren't supposed to have any flavor at all.......it doesn't say what kind of texture though. Is it kind of gritty, like corse corn meal?0 -
It's a type of squash, just like zucchini is a squash. The insides are all noodles once it's cooked. You can get it in most supermarkets I think.0

I heard that they were good, but I have also heard that some people have gotten the BM's more then usual.
I think I'll continue slowing down on pasta and continue using the low carb and whole wheat double fiber.
Can't be stuck in the potty!!!! :frown: :sick:0 -

Aight... I answered my own question.... researched and we can find it in Toronto in the T&T Supermarkets with a bunch of varieties.0
