I have been active on here since Fall 2012. I started out at around 212lbs. I kept going and got down to 150.2lbs at my lowest in summer 2014.

I loved lifting and at the time was benching my weight, squatting 2x my weight, and my leg press was over 3x my weight.

I found out spring 2015 I was pregnant. Wasn't expected and to say it changed my workout habits would be an understatement. I had low blood pressure and low blood sugar so bad I had to eat almost hourly and needed sugar constantly. My diabetes test was so low they didn't know how I was standing when fasted, and after drinking the 50g sugar drink I was at a "normal" level. smh anyways... hard to work out when I would be dizzy and almost falling over walking around a zoo. So after 6 months of no activity I was up to 204lbs. I had made a goal to myself to stay under 200lbs when pregnant and to say after all the time loosing it that I was sad when the scale hit 200 would be an understatement. Thankfully I was at full term then, and my daughter was born 5 days later.

After she was born I thought I would log, but I never really kept up with it. It might not be the fastest progress I would like but my success is that I still have lost 44lbs in 6 months without logging. Yes 20lbs was right after birth but the point is I learned through MFP how to do it without logging, how to guesstimate my calories close enough to still drop pounds. I learned how to know what a 6oz chicken looks like, what a cup of veggy looks like. Skills that years ago I was so far off it wasn't funny.

That shows me 3 days before my daughter was born, 1 day after, 2 weeks after, 13 weeks after, and then now a few days ago around 25 weeks after. (yes I am very pear shaped and my ribs and hip bones always show even when I am overweight by BMI)

Yes I still have goals, I want to get down closer to 140lbs now, and then once she is old enough get back into lifting and bulk up and maintain around 147-153lbs, but unlike before I know I can do this.

So for anyone just starting out on this, you can do it! For anyone who had a backslide and gained weight back, or like me had a pregnancy in the middle of your weight loss goals, you can do it!

Great post! I gained a lot of sympathy weight while my wife was pregnant then shortly after had hip surgery and gained another 25lbs. This is my first week without crutches and I'm trying to make a comeback. This post is very encouraging! Thanks

I like the work in progress. Aren't we all? Keep it up! or down, depending on how you see it.
