dear MFP community,

a year and two weeks ago I looked at myself in the mirror and saw 275 pounds of unhappiness.

so I decided to change.

I changed how much I eat, what I eat, i started to exercise and be active

Today... I finally reached (actually surpassed) my goal of 150 and weighed in at 148 this morning :)

i could TOTALLY hug the entire world, im so happy!

    Thanks guys!

if only one person on here is motivated to stay on the wagon due to my success, it makes it even sweeter.
it's not always easy. sometimes it is. a lot of times it isnt.
my experience was that the first 20 pounds were hard, and the last 10. in between it went fairly easy.

But let me tell you about the sweet sweet reward:
it's like a brand new life!!!!!!!!!!!

I can go into a store and buy clothes.
I wear SMALL in shirts and tops now. SMALL. this used to be XXL or sometimes even XXXL!
    I fit in airplane seats
    I fit in roller coasters
I am wearing for the first time today size 4 jeans (it was a bit of a squeeze and sitting is a challenge, but its size 4, so whatever!)
I get all sorts of attention from the guys
my doctor actually published my story in his newsletter cause my medical checkup was so good compared to what it was
I run 5ks for fun, after work, 2-3 times a week
I will run the warrior dash in August, the Tough Mudder in November and a Half Marathon in February (and hopefully live to tell about it)
I have SO much energy that I sometimes dont know what to do with myself
my skin/hair/overall everything looks so much better
I feel beautiful. this is new. it used to always be: I look OK for a big girl. now I think I look great (yes yes I know, very humble and modest ;) )
I enjoy life to a ridiculous extend

If you are reading this and you are thinking about starting this journey, or you are in the middle of it and feel discouraged cause it's a rough day, or a few pounds snuck back on, or whatever it may be:
    KEEP ON IT!
    it's SOOOOO worth it!
