There's a Keto group and also a Low Carbers Daily Forum group with a lot of keto-ers that you might find helpful.

@Jacob1020 I found solid advice at the above MFP group. I have been in nutritional ketosis for 18 months. Eating <50 grams of carbs daily is the basic step to get started which is more a change in Way Of Eating that many like.

I did it by accident when I was trying to find a way to manage my body's level of inflammation. In 2014 I went off sugar and all forms of grains and my joint and muscle pain dropped from a subjective 7-8 pain level to 2-3 in just 30 days and I found myself Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) before I had even heard of the term.

While LCHF is not a weight loss plan per say often weight loss occurs as a side effect of improving health as was my case but it was a couple months before the scales started going down. Six months later my 40 years of serious IBS resolved and has not returned. After having been up to 250 pounds a few times my weight dropped to 200 for the first time in 22 years and has been stable for the last 12 months. Now I can get out of vehicles without assistance, walk any distance plus my health is much improved with lab work proving my health marks are better then in 20 years.

Doing LCHF is not hard for me because for the first time in 40 years I have hope medically speaking.

LCHF is easier to do if one has a medical reason to do it. My was pain manage. For others it may be diabetes, high blood pressure, etc resolution. There are other MFP groups too. Welcome to MFP forums and best of success.
