Pff, mine is $40 and I get 100mb of data. God Bless Canada.0
-
I pay $110 for 3 lines, which includes 2gb of data for 2 of them and 10gb for mine, and unlimited minutes and texts for all 3, plus long distance.0
-
My plan is $40 a month and only includes 300mb of data...lol Canadian telecoms are thieves...
Yeah but you use wifi too don't ya...It would be easier to get one of the unlimited plans on my dads phone and just use his..but not here all year and dad has parkinsons..last time I put short cuts to the racing site there were 11 extra short cuts on his computer screen because he wasn't clicking on it properly properly so he really wouldn't use it either...0 -

Yeah I have 500 anytime minutes, unlimited evenings and weekends, free texts, free long distance in Canada0 -
But you all mean thats just your phone data right..you all have home wifi as well ?
My phone is used for my laptop and tab as well ..0 -
Koodo, but actually it's $45 I think with the tab. It is/was the best plan here unless you go with Wind.
I think I get unlimited international texts at least. 200 minutes though. Luckily I hate the phone so I don't care.0 -

Yep, I have wifi at home. My internet plan gives me 320GB a month at a speed of 60Mbps but I never get that fast. That's another $80 a month0 -
Honestly I never come close to using the 10gb on my phone; I'm almost always somewhere where there's wifi.0
-
Yeah..well imagine if your phone data was all ya had
Its tough0 -
300mb is practically useless for anything but checking email...0
-
I mean on my home internet I routinely hit my 500gb cap every month, so I couldn't work with anything in the sub-100gb range0
-
Ok..I gotta go..drinks under the fig time..
Night if you're going to bed0 -

Good night love...0 -
Yeah I only use my data for emergencies, like if I'm standing in the middle of a road and need to know what the drink specials are at a couple pubs.0
-
I'll just be here, drinking and watching documentaries0

Gute Nacht, Jo!0

Yeah I use up most of my 320Gb, but I don't have netflix or anything...0 -
And I'm going to pretend to drink one of those beers.0

My roommates are having their super douchey friends over, so I'm in my room with a 6-pack and a bottle of whiskey. It's been a fun night so far0
-
You mean you don't want to join in on the giggles and general douchery?0
-
Noooooooo....although one of my roommates has been my best friend for almost 10 years, his girlfriend (our other roommate) is a very cringey college student and her friends sound even worse0
-
I'm sure some Dethklok karaoke would help clear the room.0
-
My voice is too sore from Amon Amarth last night to pull off Dethklok tonight. But I'm soothing it with some lemon beer, so that's a plus.
BTW I got to hang out with the singer of Entombed...!!!!!!!!

Lars? That's awesome! Was he completely hammered and speaking in a thick Swedish accent?0

Ha, yes, yes he was. I went outside to get some fresh air during Amon Amarth's set and he was out there with 4 empty cans of Pabst at his feet. I went over and just told him that I was a big fan and I loved his set, and how much fun it was to wreck people in the pit to his music. He was super cool and chatted with me for a good 10 - 15 minutes about old school metal.0 -
That sounds about right. Excellent timing. I once ran into Mikael Stanne at the bar during Opeth's set after some *kitten* was semi-strangulating me to get my front spot, so I have to thank that guy for having me leave the floor. Stanne was wasted and I started speaking to him in my beginner's Swedish at the time with my weak voice (from said semi-strangulation). So he was garbling back in his Gothenburg dialect and couldn't walk straight.
Also ran into Finntoll outside after their show and hung out with them for a while. It was pretty sweet. Luckily my Swedish was good by then so I was able to converse in Vreth's troll tongue.0 -
That's so cool, sadly here in the US there's little chance of ever getting to see Finntroll (or even Dimmu nowadays). I saw Nightwish a few weeks ago and Delain opened for them. That's the one kind of metal my girlfriend and I can agree on, she doesn't like death metal at all.
It was funny though, when Delain was on I noticed that their guitarist was an absolute badass, and then during Sonata Arctica's set I looked to my left and she was standing right next to me. Didn't get to talk to her though because right when I noticed her she walked away.0 -
That's strange since it's Canada that sooner gets shafted when it comes to shows (especially when you don't live in Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal), and here Finntroll came to Edmonton twice. Dimmu was here with Enslaved in 2010 too.
Yeah, not really a fan of symphonic metal and I haven't even heard of Delain until now. How is Nightwish's newer vocalist? Seems like they're a lot more pop-like now with her.0 -
I wasn't a fan of Nightwish's new singer until I saw them live. That said, I might be biased because she is -absolutely- gorgeous. But I also really like their new album, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, which is 100% about the science of evolution and features quotes from Dawkins' book The Greatest Show On Earth.
Nightwish wouldn't even make my top 20 list of bands, but I like them because it's common ground for me and my girlfriend. She's never going to like Amon Amarth or Lamb of God, but we can both enjoy Nightwish and bands like them, so I can dig it.0
