I gotta go visit my mom. She's being difficult as she often gets in hospital settings as she's very fearful so I'm taking the husband to try and talk sense into her

    Relaxing days are nice

Oddly my mom loves being in the hospital and looked after. I need to have them stop giving her morphine though it really messes with her head and I think my family just doesn't have the same pain receptors as others cause we don't feel it as much. We're odd balls

Sounds like something to look forward to.
And you can do it girl, stay focussed and keep your goal in mind

    PS you already look smokin!

Lol well thanks. Gained a little through my stress with the ex husband. Not much surprising but I want to get back to where I was. Or more! Hope all is going well for you!

Omg perfect storm day of when lack of sleep catches up to my mom, combined with the drugs all she was upset about was all hallucinated. Or dreamed of or who really knows. Her caregiver and I made her sleep.

Now I'm watching the boy curl

Wow Ali.. have they tried to give her something else for the pain?
She's getting Tylenol. She refuses to sleep when in the hospital and then ends up like a crazy person. We've asked for her to have a sleep aid for tonight
  • Posts: 8,600 Member
Surprised you had to request that....aren't they monitoring her?
They are monitoring her. Her caregiver today told me she told them she was find and sleeping okm. Luckily the caregiver was there and corrected her

She's always afraid of getting in trouble and sruff like that.she lives in fear of everything

May I ask how old? My dad was the same way when he was in the hospital a few years ago
  • Posts: 36,287 Member
She is only 74. She's had lots of surgeries and this is how she reacts it seems. She gets scared anxious and just can't sleep. She always thinks she'll get surgery and be up and dancing the next day then when she's not she is discouraged.

That was about the age my dad was going through it...difficult type of surgery but same attitude it seems...

Weird isn't it. I think it might just be a generational thing. An old guy told me at the hospital they expect you to exercise but you need to rest and not use the affected part

It is sad...the good thing they said it was quick..so it didn't suffer
