Well personally I think that the whole idea of a long term relationship just working on its own is a myth. The only reason my S/O and I have lasted almost 7 years so far is because we've talked about our problems with level heads and open minds.0

Awwww....7 years well done..but let me tell you as a twice married ..2nd hub was married 3 times ..not everything works out as you expect lol..even talking doesn't always help...people change ..its a fact...But that is an amazing take on it ..you just might make it..
I admit I do see those really old couples that have been together 60 years and wonder if they are together because thats what was expected when they were younger..have they spent 60 miserable years together?0 -
I don't have any illusions that things can be "meant to be" or that success in love or life is guaranteed. Like in all things, something worth having is not easily gained. We've come close to separating before, but so far we've always come back together. Her family is my family and mine is hers; she was with me at the worst moment of my life and I was there to help during hers. I feel like as long as we keep those things in sight and continue to work as a team, we can face anything down.0

Yes, I know several of my parents friends who are together just because of that. Me and wife have been married 22+ years, yes I am that old, lol. It isn't easy and we have separated a couple of times during. We never had time together without kids and that is going to shortly happen as our youngest is a Sr in HS. I'm not exactly sure how things will play out. But, things will most certainly be different without kids as a factor, for us.0

Ahhh the freedom of no kids ...woohoo...0

I have to say that I'm excited about having kids. I'm not trying to make it happen, but for the first time in my life I feel like I could deal with it if it happened.0

Sometimes as much as we want things to work out, no amount of talking or working on the issue will make it happen. It was simply not meant to be.0

Personally, I don't believe in fate. I don't believe that anything is meant to be or not meant to be. I'm not disputing that sometimes things just don't work out, but I think that life is what you make it.0 -
I'm ready for grandkids, spoil and send home. I'm not ready for my kids to have them yet, as they aren't ready. I wasn't ready when first was born either tho, I grew up real fast tho.0

I view things as everything happens for a reason. You are totally right that life is what you make of it. You can chose to act negatively or you chose to act positively. Personally the latter is always the best choice.0

It's crazy to think how inconsequential we all are in the grand scheme of things. Like Carl Sagan said, every king and tyrant, every celebrity and peasant, have existed on the same pale blue dot, suspended on a sun beam. We are a mote of dust.0

I'm sitting alone on lunch break, because I dislike the break room where the others go. I'm not a fan of being surrounded by close minded people. I'm looked at as anti social by them, and that's perfectly fine by me.0
-
Hey T!, you can come and hang with us0
-
I'm often seen as anti-social too, and I won't even deny it. I'm definitely anti-social, because most people in my immediate vicinity don't stimulate much desire to socialize.0
-
Lunch over, guess I should pick up my pace and get something done.0
-
Aww guess I missed ya T ..don't work too hard ..0
-
I'm back an forth on here, I should be more excited about vacation, but honestly am just wanting the time off work.0
