Week 3 - husband has lost 4 more pounds and says he "feels lighter." So far, 13 lb. total for 3 weeks on this program. We also ate out twice and he was able to stick to plan, except for a small piece of cheesecake for my son's birthday. He also told me for the first time what his starting weight was, which he said he had kept from me because he knew how upset I'd be -- 300 lbs. Perhaps that was the magic number that finally motivated him toward change.

Week 5 - My husband got hit in the face with a baseball last week-end and was seriously injured. He's already had one eye surgery and will have another one this week-end. Obviously, losing weight is not at the top of our priority list right now, but he's been pretty much sticking to plan (except for some frozen chocolate covered strawberries sent by some well wishers) because he's home with me so I'm doing all the meal prep. He even ordered low carb meals when in the hospital. He's on enforced inactivity due to his recovery and doctor's orders. Anyway, he's still losing -- 2 lbs. Week 4 and 2 this week. So, 19 lb. total in a little over a month.

My husband had his second eye surgery last week and has been ordered to be mostly sedentary to keep his head stable. Despite that, he still managed to lose 3 lbs. Of course, he's still at home with me and I'm doing all the meal prep. We did middle eastern takeout yesterday and he just doesn't eat the rice.

Latest update -- have been busy the past few weeks with medical followups for hub and summer teaching starting. Husband has lost 27 lbs. so far. He's actually had some extremely honest conversations about his former relationship with food, which he characterizes as "sick and addictive", eating 3-4 donuts in a row, buying McDonald's when he's already eaten. He says this program has changed his life.
